Vice President/ Assistant Vice President, Claims

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyse individual large claims and event losses reported by cedants or known in the market
  • Assess reserve for claims reported by ceding companies
  • Monitor claims trends and keep underwriters and analysts advised
  • Assess claims management ability of cedants and keep underwriters and business development colleagues advised
  • Assure timely and accurate claims data in computer systems
  • Produce reports for claims reserve and development pattern
  • Ability to travel

Job Based Competencies

  • Degree with relevant qualification is preferable
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance claims (preferably in financial lines including but not limited to D&O, Medical related Professional Liability)
  • Good customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • An analytical mind with good numerical sense
  • Able to work independently
  • Good command of spoken and written English and ideally one Asian / European language
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Word, Excel), being able to learn new systems and applications
